I’m not trying to turn the Kingdom into King Tom’s House of Embedded Videos, but this one was pretty cool. Scenes from all of the Lost flashforwards in chronological order (although I’m not sure Ben’s visit to Widmore is in the right place).
All I have to say is I’m really looking forward to Thursday night.
Not only did ABC decide to break the three-hour season four finale of Lost, No Place Like Home, into two episodes, but to add even more punishment, they’ve added a week break inbeween installments. So this season of Lost won’t wrap up next Thursday, but rather, on May 29th.
Thanks a lot, ABC!
Tonight’s episode definitely felt like it was the first part of a larger story. Characters got put into place and plans put into motion, but at the end, I felt like I was waiting for the action to happen.
Tonight’s episode of Lost, Cabin Fever takes its name from a (mostly) psychological condition. The cure for which, according to this Web site is “a good wholesome change of environment.”
If you think about it, that has a lot to do with the very end of (and possibly most puzzling statement from) “Cabin Fever.”
Once again, with a Locke-centric episode, Lost delivered in terms of backstory, action, current-day story and expanding the island mythology just enough to have me totally confused about… Continue reading “The Cure for Cabin Fever”
Is it me, or does this happen regularly: A great episode of Lost (or at least one with a cliffhanger/reveal at the end) is followed by a pedestrian effort aimed more at developing characters than developing story. That’s certainly the case with tonight’s episode, Something Nice Back Home.
That isn’t to say that Something Nice Back Home was a bad episode. It wasn’t. But it wasn’t great, either. And after last week’s great episode, and considering the momentum the show is trying to build as they wrap up Season Four, you’d think they’d put out a stronger effort, or at least let us check in with more compelling characters, like Ben, Locke, Sayid or Desmond.

After what seemed like a short eight-week run earlier this year, Lost returned tonight to continue its fourth season with a Ben-focused episode, “The Shape of Things To Come.” And if the producers were hoping to please the ever-important King Tom demographic, they succeeded. Tonight’s episode featured explosions, the monster, Ben, international intrigue, a game of worldwide domination and all love triangles kept to a minimum.
Tonight’s episode of Lost, Meet Kevin Johnson, wraps up the first eight-thirteenths of Season Four of Lost. Now we have to wait a month to figure out the answers to such questions as:
-Who lives and who dies?
-Is Ben really good or really evil?
-Who will Kate end up with, Sawyer or Jack?*
*I really don’t care whether this one gets answered or not.

From the very beginning of tonight’s episode of Lost, The Other Woman, one thought was in my head: J-Dog was right.
A few weeks back, in an e-mail exchange, J-Dog said that anytime it rains on this show, something bad happens. And I wouldn’t exactly call Juliet’s encounter in the rain at the beginning of tonight’s episode a good thing.

Wow. I don’t understand what happened on tonight’s episode of Lost (The Constant), but whatever it was was freakin’ incredible.
Take your normal island mysteries, a hint of good vs. evil, a flashback that answers a question or two about a main character and a romance that’s enough to turn the King into a regular softie and you have one awesome episode of Lost.

After looking at my review of last night’s episode of Lost, Eggtown, I’m disappointed in my writing. I should have worked in the phrase: “Locke is the Eggman, goo goo ga joob.”
